Design and print of a magazine involving 12 Barcelona based artists and designers.
WORK PROCESS
This book is called "On Magazine" and it's the first one of a series of books regarding artists and designers from different cities, this one is about designers based in Barcelona.
The size of the book is 21 x 26 cm, a little bit shorter than a A4, to give it a more interesting and adaptable shape, and every page is designed following the same grid.
The font used for the titles is "Impact", while for the body it's "Founders Grotesk", with an Italic variation for the captions, this choice was made to mantain a clean layout that didn't interfere with the artists projects style.
The overall design is characterised by an harmonious style, which sees different design choices, from rigorous layouts to more playful ones with overlapping images and so on.
This color choice was made to recall the city of Barcelona, with a more elegant shade of red, every edition is supposed to be in a different color that recalls the city of the shwcased artists.
The color palette used for the book is characterised by neutral colors, such as black and white, with a touch of red (#82171D) used for the cover, the inserts and the introductive texts.
The book was printed on coated paper 270 gr/m², with a soft glossy cover and two inserts in transparent red acetate.
